At Manchester Youth Development Center (MYDC), our dedicated staff is essential to our mission of enhancing the lives of children and families in Pittsburgh’s Northside.
With over five decades of service, our team combines expertise and passion to create transformative experiences for youth. Each staff member brings unique skills and perspectives, united by a commitment to nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of our participants. From early childhood specialists to youth coordinators, our diverse team ensures comprehensive support for the 220 children and families we serve annually.
Trained in the latest youth development practices, our staff creates a welcoming, safe environment where young people can thrive. By fostering positive relationships and providing consistent support, they help children make healthy choices and develop independence. Their efforts have positively impacted over 10,000 predominantly Black children and families since 1968, solidifying MYDC’s role as a vital community resource.
